Set against a sprawling 16th-century European village backdrop in Shakopee, Minnesota, this beloved annual tradition invites lords, ladies, peasants, and pirates alike to celebrate decades of history, community, and fantasy. Whether you are a seasoned traveler of the realm or attending for your very first time, the festival offers an unmatched escape filled with thunderous jousting, artisan crafts, and legendary feasts.
The 2026 Minnesota Renaissance Festival is open weekends from August 22 through October 4, operating Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., along with special openings on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, and a special Festival Friday on October 2. Located at 12364 Chestnut Blvd. in Shakopee, MN, the festival grounds come alive rain or shine. Advance ticket purchases online are strongly recommended for the best rates, and visitors should note that parking passes or utilization of the designated Park and Ride shuttle locations are required for smooth entry onto the grounds.
