2. Quality: No grainy, blurry, or “dark-room” shots. Natural lighting is your best friend.
3. Originality: You must own the rights to the photos. No stock photography of food you didn’t cook, etc.

3. Accuracy & Transparency

1. Real Links: Links must lead to your official site or menu, not third-party ad sites or affiliate linking.
2. Up-to-Date: Hours and seasonal offerings must be accurate.
3. Content Accuracy and Freshness: Listing must be kept updated and accurate.
4. Substantiated Claims: As a rule, avoid making claims, but if you do include a claim, it must be substantiated immediately next to claim.

Prohibited Content

To maintain a community built on trust and appetite, the following content will result in an immediate rejection of your listing if identified:

A. Dishonesty & Misrepresentation

1. Plagiarism: Copying descriptions from other review platforms, competitors, or press releases is strictly prohibited. Your story must be your own.
2. False Claims: Do not claim certifications (e.g., Organic, Halal, Kosher, Michelin-rated) that cannot be verified. Substantiations must be posted directly next to claim.
3. Catfishing: Using images of dishes that are not served at your establishment or using heavily photoshopped images that do not resemble the actual product.
4. False Representation: Must own all submitted content and avoid posting any listing or content which you are not authorized to own or represent.

B. Harmful & Malicious Material

1. Hate Speech & Harassment: Any content that promotes discrimination, disparages individuals, or uses slurs related to race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected class.
2. Defamation: Your listing is a place to celebrate your business, not to attack competitors or settle scores with former employees/customers.
3. Malicious Code: Links leading to phishing sites, malware, or unverified third-party trackers.

C. Low-Quality & Spam

1. Keyword Stuffing: Repeating words like “best pizza New York pizza cheap pizza” to trick search engines. We write for humans, not robots. (And search engines generally reward those who do.)
2. Irrelevant Promotions: No mentions of unrelated side businesses, multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes, or third-party affiliate links.
3. Placeholder Content: Listings with “Coming Soon” or “TBD” in required fields may be held until the information is complete.

D. Sensitive Topics & Inappropriate Imagery

1. Graphic Content: No images of raw slaughter, unhygienic kitchen conditions, or non-food related “shock” imagery.
2. Alcohol & Controlled Substances: While we support bars and breweries, imagery must comply with local legal age requirements and avoid depicting excessive or irresponsible consumption. Mentions and depictions must adhere to all applicable regulations and laws.
3. Political Content: Community engagement and active political participation is important to a healthy citizenry, but this site is not designed for that activity. We reserve all rights to enforce policies which protect our business and its users.
4. Sexual & Suggestive Activities: Content which is not suitable for all audiences is not allowed.
5. Health & Wellness: Claims and content which claim to be medical advice or guidance are generally not permitted. In cases of exception, all claims and content must be medically reputable by an authorized body.
6. Regulated Products & Activities: Promotion or content featuring regulated products such as tobacco, vaping, gambling, weapons/firearms, other regulated products/industries, etc. are not permitted.
7. Financial Advice: Content tied to financially regulated activity, including but not limited to stock advice, investment guidance, etc. Events hosted on subjects related to finance may be allowed if they do not contain financial advice on this site. Additionally, any associated sites or advertisements must only promote advice if done by a certified professional. This site is not responsible for any content or financial decisions made as a result of using this site.
8. Illicit or Illegal Activities: Content which is not legally permissible is not allowed. As appropriate, submissions may be reported to relevant authorities, along with any relevant user details including identifying information.

Enforcement & Appeals

Our team has the final say on what makes the cut. If your listing is flagged, it will be removed and/or modified. Generally, you will be informed of the decision. If modifications can be made by the user to resolve the conflict, you will be made aware.
